Ronan Quinlan 
Director – Asia Operations

A native of Dublin, Ireland, since graduating from University College Dublin with honours in International Commerce and Italian degree in 1997 Ronan Quinlan has been living and working in China and Taiwan. Fluent in Mandarin Ronan has been involved with leading Taiwanese, European and American companies in the PC and Consumer Electronics industry in various capacities, with LiteON as a OEM Account Manager, Sales Manager, Project Leader, Product Manager, with Pilotfish in ID design sales, and with a UK licensing company. He brings 7 years of intimate knowledge of the local markets in Taiwan and China and a solid network of high level contacts in technology manufacturing and services.

Currently based out of Taoglas Asia Headquarters in Taoyuan, Taiwan, Ronan Quinlan is the Asia General Manager in overall charge of company strategy, market research, project management and leads a team of qualified technical and business people to deliver customer satisfaction on time.

Dermot O’Shea
Director – European Operations  
Dermot is responsible for all of our sales & marketing functions which are
based in our head office in Wexford, Ireland. Dermot is a science graduate from UCD and he also graduated from Dublin Business School, and in Computing from Griffith College Dublin. Dermot gained his experience of the electronics industry in the UK and Ireland through providing innovative logistics and supply chain solutions to the industry with an international logistics solutions provider. He then spent time in Taoglas Taiwan to gain an understanding of the ODM/OEM market, and of the manufacturing process.

Edward Mc Quillan’s

Edward holds both an MSc & BEng (Hons.) degree in Electronics & Communications from the University of Ulster at Jordanstown, Northern Ireland. Edward has many years experience working with Conexant Systems Inc. in semiconductor solutions for broadband communications for the digital home.

Edward is responsible for directing antenna design at Taoglas, including measurement and optimization, with an emphasis on delivering customer satisfaction on time.

James East
Principle Engineer
 
James holds an MSc in materials chemistry from the Aberdeen University. James has many years experience working with major UK technology companies in advanced electroceramic material formulation and product development.
 
James is responsible for electroceramic materials supplier and product qualification. He travels extensively in Asia, including working with National Taiwan University on developing novel applications, qualifying materials suppliers at mass production and supporting customers for product integration and system design.

Joseph Quinn
Marketing Specialist
  
Joseph graduated from University of Ulster with an honours degree in Electronic and Computing. He received a Business Scholarship to study at Dillard University, Louisiana, USA as part of his placement year. 
 
Employed by ADMtek Inc, Hsinchu Taiwan as an Engineer he was quickly promoted to Strategy Planning Engineer and finally Corporate Marketing Manager. To gain international sales and marketing experience, Joseph joined Kedge co. as their International Sales Manager. He brings with him an in-depth knowledge of the IT industry in Asia and established marketing background to Taoglas.

Dr James Holmes is a PhD qualified physicist with over seven years experience within a research and development environment working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide solutions to both academic and industrial customers. He specialises in the development of novel piezoelectric sensors and actuators with expertise in electrical and mechanical measurement, computer interfacing and device modeling.
