Meet The Team
Dermot O’Shea
Co-Founder/Joint CEO
Dermot co-founded Taoglas with Ronan Quinlan in 2003 and since then the duo have successfully grown the company into the dominant player in the IoT antenna and RF market that it is today. Having worked in technology sales since graduating from University College Dublin, Dermot moved to Taiwan where he met Ronan. It was here they co-founded Taoglas. Subsequently, Dermot moved back to his native Ireland to set up Taoglas HQ and global sales. After great success, he moved to San Diego to set up Taoglas USA operations in 2011 where he continues to remain.
Dermot is a recognized thought leader in the IoT industry and is also accredited with creating “The best IoT party” and networking event every year at MWC Americas. When not selling Taoglas, Dermot enjoys outdoor activities as well as spending time with his young family.
Ronan Quinlan
Co-Founder/Joint CEO
Ronan is a co-founder of Taoglas and has over 20 years’ experience in the electronics industry, between Asia and Europe. Ronan’s expertise in this area covers a broad spectrum, with a key focus on production, quality processes, and antenna and wireless product roadmap.
Ronan operates out of Taoglas headquarters in Ireland and serves as co-CEO of Taoglas Group. He has overall responsibility for the Taoglas EMEA region, and Taoglas Asia operations, where he spends a number of months each year.
Dennis Kish
Dennis is responsible for all aspects of business, including sales, marketing, customer support, engineering and operations. Prior to joining Taoglas, Kish served as President of the Fiber business at Google, where his team brought a triple-play (internet, TV, and telephone) service to market across the US.
Kish’s general management experience also includes roles as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Qualcomm MEMS Technologies, Vice President and General Manager of ST-Ericsson’s Connectivity & Peripherals business unit, and Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Connected Entertainment Business at NXP Semiconductors. Kish holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Michigan State University.
Charlotte Rubin
Charlotte is responsible for all aspects of the company’s global marketing programs, including product marketing, go-to-market planning, sales enablement and thought leadership programs. Charlotte brings more than 20 years of marketing and public relations experience from wireless and device OEM industries working in executive marketing and corporate communications positions at Ericsson, Novatel Wireless and Becton & Dickinson.
She also held executive positions on the agency side and founded her own consulting practice, serving clients such as Verizon, Nuance, Geotab and Epson. Charlotte holds a Bachelor in Economics and a Master of Business Administration and International Marketing and Management from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark.
Dave Ghilarducci
Dave is the Vice President of worldwide engineering. With more than 30 years of experience, Dave joins Taoglas from Quectel, where he was the National Director of Technical Sales. Previously, he has held senior positions at CalAmp, Wavecom and Insight Electronics.
Eric (Youngmin) Jo
Dr. Eric Jo is responsible for managing Taoglas’ worldwide operations and leading its global effort for advanced internal antenna product development. Eric has over 25 years’ experience in the wireless industry, specializing in RF and antenna theory, technology development, manufacturing, quality control, and sales. Prior to joining Taoglas, Eric served in several executive positions including CEO, CTO, COO, President of East Asia, and VP of technology development.
He holds a Ph.D. and a MS degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology, and a BE degree in Electronic Engineering from Korea University and has published over 40 patents and papers in the related fields.
Amanda Jiang
Amanda is the general manager for China and has more than 15 years of experience working within the wireless industry. Prior to joining Taoglas, she held general manager roles at companies including Ethertronics China R&D Center, Skycross China, and Shenzhen Speed Wireless Technology, among others. She has also held engineering manager and sales executive positions throughout her career.
Adrian Burns
Adrian is responsible for managing overall business and product development for the IoT Solutions Division and works with his team to deliver enterprise-grade connected solutions utilized in applications across numerous verticals, including automotive, utilities and smart cities, healthcare, telematics, smart metering and more.
He joins the team from Firmwave, acquired by Taoglas in 2019. Adrian has 20 years’ experience in software architecture and his previous experience includes roles at multi-national companies, including Intel, Qualcomm and IBM.
Nakita McCarthy
Tim Dolan
Tim has been with Taoglas for over 8 years and currently serves as VP of North American Sales. Tim is responsible for managing the Sales strategy for Taoglas USA and works with his team to ensure that key clients are managed effectively and efficiently. Tim has over 20 years’ experience within the electronics industry and has been recognized as an industry leader in the M2M/IoT space since 2002.
Under Tim’s leadership, Taoglas USA has grown ten fold since 2010 and has become the market leader for IoT antennas, RF services, and RF cable assemblies.
Dan Ruane
Daniel Ruane is the Head Of Group IT for Taoglas. Dan joined Taoglas in 2014 and has over 20 years of experience in IT & software development. Dan is responsible for developing and implementing Taoglas’s information technology strategy and for defining and delivering continuous improvement and change management across the group.
Dan accredits all of the major IT project successes in Taoglas to the calibre of his excellent team. “We are a seriously motivated bunch of individuals who continuously strive to push the envelope forward and try new things” Dan works in Taoglas Head Quarters office located in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, Ireland.
Christina Kenny
Christina is responsible for all aspects of the company’s global People & Talent Strategy and related activities including Organisation Design and Development, Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, Learning and Development and Compensation & Benefits. Christina brings more than 20 years of International Human Resources and Business Operations experience from a number of industries including Technology, Telco, Renewables and BPO and has held global C-Suite roles in other Irish International companies including NTR Plc and Voxpro.
She holds a number of non Executive Board and Committee positions in various Irish organisations. Christina holds a Master of Business Administration from Dublin City University and a BA Degree in Finance and HRM.
Olivier Robin
Olivier joins Taoglas from AVX Inc where he was the Global Marketing Director of the RFS business unit. He has more than 20 years of experience within the antenna industry and has held executive positions throughout engineering, business development, and sales at numerous companies.
Olivier holds a MSc in electrical engineering with a specialty in telecom, antennas and high frequency electronics from ENSIL (Engineering School in Limoges, France), as well as a licentiate degree in high frequency electronics and optoelectronics from IRCOM Limoges.
Argy Petros
Dr. Argy Petros is the VP of Technology at Taoglas. He joined in December of 2018 after Taoglas acquired Think Wireless, Inc. Dr. Petros founded Think Wireless in 2003 and developed it into the leading provider of heavy-duty truck antenna in North America by the time of the acquisition.
Prior to Think Wireless, he worked with antennas, RF and satellite radio applications at Motorola and IXM Satellite Radio. Dr. Petros has been awarded 26 U.S. patents, published numerous technical articles, and contributed a chapter to a book on electromagnetics. He was inducted into the Space Technology Hall of Fame in 2001 and is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He received his B.S.E.E, M.S., and Ph. D. from Virginia Tech.
